Marquee Erectors - recruiting from March 2022

We recruit each year for Marquee Erectors to join our team for the peak season. The full Marquee season is April to October, but we have shorter term roles according to availability. We start actively recruiting in March until we fill all vacancies.

Our seasonal marquee erectors work with and support the permanent team to build marquees for weddings, parties and corporate events. The role is physically demanding and involves being outside in all weathers, but as our team will tell you it is a rewarding and a very varied job. We have university students who will join us for several seasons on temporary contracts.

We work Sunday to Monday each week, with everyone taking turns to work on Sundays. We recruit for full time roles (5 day weeks) and also part time (3 or 4 days), as we can easily work 12+ hour days many of our seasonal staff choose to work 3 or 4 days a week. We start each day at 7.30am and work until the job is finished and ready loaded for the next build.

The main role includes building marquees, laying flooring, setting up furniture and installing electrics/lighting. Other aspects of the job include driving vans and trailers (depending on licenses) loading vehicles, picking orders and cleaning and maintenance of the equipment.

Person specification;

Essential

  • Team player
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • A car driving license (preferably with no points)
  • Ability to cope with a physically demanding role

Desirable

  • Previous marquee erecting experience
  • Experience of driving a van
  • Experience of driving a trailer 
  • Lorry License

Cleaners - recruiting from March 2022

We are looking for cleaners to join our team for the 2022 (April to September) season to clean our luxury toilets and shower units. 

Roles available from 8+ hours a week and ideally over a Tuesday and Wednesday each week, although there is some flexibility in this. Based at our warehouse between Miserden and Birdlip. 

This could be an employed or self-employed position.
