Emily’s family farm near Cirencester, Gloucestershire

Clients’ Requirements

As a winter wedding Emily and Chris had two main requirements; that the marquee was warm and cosy, and that there was a separate area for the drinks reception. As they’re both part of the Bisley Marquee team they knew they wanted to do something a little bit different with their marquee, so took the opportunity to get creative with the design!

Marquee Style

The marquee was entered via a long walkway marquee with a gently ramped cassette levelled floor, at the top of the walkway was the entrance to the reception and bar area, and a separate entrance to the adjoining toilet marquee. The main marquee was a 12m wide Clearspan with 12m Conservatory annex with clear roofs to house the bar and reception, steps then led down to the dining area which was built on 3m tall legs with Bisley’s stunning bespoke blue printed linings. Finally, a dance area was hidden behind a reveal curtain with blackout wall linings and starcloth ceilings, white dance floor, and plenty of disco lighting!

Finishing Touches

A winter wedding meant lighting could be used to maximum effect, so the clear-roofed reception area was adorned with fairy lights, twinkling branches lead the way along through the walkway marquee, and uplighters created a gentle glow in the dining area. The round LED bar was a focal point of the reception area, and a great space for the evening cocktails!
